We all know how important it is to maintain a healthy, nutritious diet.  By making some small changes, we can all be on our way to feeling good and looking great. The first thing you can change right away is eating more fruits and vegetables.  Fruit and vegetables are filled with antioxidants and vitamins.  They will not only make you feel fuller, but you will be getting a good supply of your daily vitamins.  You could replace your usual snack food with an apple very easily. For a more healthy diet you should cut down on alcohol, caffeine and processed foods.  If you are a smoker, you need to stop smoking for better overall health. Make sure you get all of the vital nutrients in your diet.  Your diet must contain carbohydrates, proteins and fats.  The best plan for a healthy diet is to find the correct balance between the three main food groups.  Whole grain foods like pasta, rice and bread are good carbohydrates to fuel your body. You must consider the source of your calories, that means the source of protein, fats and carbohydrates.  There are differences between healthy fats and unhealthy fats.  Unhealthy fats are much harder to burn. A healthy diet should balance  the nutrition you are getting from each source of calories.  By taking each element in moderation, you will be providing your body with the right energy balance for your body. Following a nutritious diet will help you lose weight while keeping you feeling great.
